Gran, as most of us referred to her, was such a lovely lady. She was mother to Joan and Yvonne and grandmother to eight. She had great grandchildren and even great great grandchildren. Her passing was the end of an era. Gran was my husband's grandmother but I always called her gran. She was a very friendly, very likeable person. She spent her last years in a house on her own. She was such a determined lady. She was always concerned about everyone and was always at hand if we needed her.
Gran, you are going to be sorely missed. Shine your light now and let the whole world see what a special person you are.
Love and miss you so much . I know you are happy now you and grandad together again . god bless you both love you two always xxxx
missing you
Although you have gone gran you will always be in my heart. You and grandad were always a big part of my life. You rang me every morning to see where I was going that day and how long I would be at work. I miss those phone calls gran. For forty seven years you were there, in my younger days you were there for me. As I grew up and since grandad died I have always been here for you as you knew you only had to ring and I would come. You were such a loving and caring person. Hearing tv reports about children being hurt, you got very upset, because you cared so much.
I muss you very much gran, love you always.
David.
The day of your funeral
Gran, you would have been so proud of your family today. They were brilliant for you. They all came together in their love for you and really supported each other. The only person missing from that crowd was you. I know you would have loved to see them all again, especially all in one place. It was certainly felt just how greatly you were loved.
Be proud of yourself Gran, you have nurtured a wonderful family in your lifetime.
Goodnight and God bless.
angel wings
On angel wings you do fly
On angel wings into the sky
On angel wings i do cry
Because those angel wings took you away
On angel wings the heralds sing
Is there no such lovely thing?
On angel wings you fly away.
I will see these angel wings again someday
When i am old and my time has come
On angel wings I will fly
Until I'm holding you once again
Smiling on angel wings
Sweet dreams Gran
The pain has gone, you will ache no more. Sleep tight lovely lady. You're with your wonderful husband again at last. I know you're happy to see him. Keep smiling Gran. I love you lots.
